Although the Dosh application is free to download, there are costs associated with the creation and maintenance of your user account with us. Those costs are covered by the fees Dosh earns when you complete qualifying transactions.
In order to recover the cost to maintain your account, if at any time your account becomes inactive for longer than 12 months, we reserve the right to debit a monthly Inactive Account Maintenance Fee of $4.99 from your account.
The Inactive Account Maintenance Fee is assessed each consecutive month that your account remains inactive.
How can you avoid Inactive Account Maintenance Fees?
To avoid inactivity fees, you have two options:
- Complete a qualifying transaction and earn cash back. This will reset the 12 month period by which we measure activity. If you've made a transaction, you're safe from fees for 365 days from your latest transaction.
- Open the app at least once every 30 days. If your last transaction was over 365 days ago, you can open the app at least once every 30 days until you have another cash back transaction. Opening the app must be done at least once every 30 days.
Inactive Account Maintenance Fees are only deducted from an inactive Dosh account wallet - you will never be directly charged any fees to your personal bank account or credit card.
Though not required, we will use our best efforts to notify you prior to your account becoming inactive so that you can avoid the assessment of any fees. Make sure that the Primary email on your Dosh Account is accurate to ensure you receive these messages and check your spam/junk folders just in case!
