For in-store transactions, you will be able to see if the participating merchant's system picked it up as debit or credit at the bottom or top of the receipt:
Please note, some chip readers will read your linked credit card as debit even if you don't enter a PIN, and we unfortunately have no control over this. We have found that this is especially true for local restaurants. If your receipt reads "debit", we will still be able to honor your cash back. Please submit a missing cash back ticket, making sure that you send over a screenshot of the receipt as an attachment.
